Zonta Nederland (D29) joins Zonta International in celebrating Amelia Earhart. We congratulate Marina Barahona, our 2025 Amelia Earhart Fellow TU Delft | Aerospace Engineering. We look forward to meeting her at our Area meeting in Gouda.
Internationally, Zonta’s commitment to Amelia Earhart is more than a tribute to an aviation pioneer. It is a living promise to women and girls who dare to reach higher.
Through the Amelia Earhart Fellowship, Zonta International has invested in generations of women pursuing doctoral studies in aerospace-related sciences and engineering. These fellows are breaking barriers in fields where women remain underrepresented, carrying forward Earhart’s courage, curiosity, and determination.
By supporting women in STEM, Zonta also honors Amelia Earhart not only for what she achieved, but for what she made possible. Her legacy reminds us that progress happens when women are given the resources, encouragement, and opportunity to lead.
